About Me

I'm Kate, owner of Kate Burton Designs.

I have been working with polymer clay for years and years - about 15 years ago when I was working for a corporate company in Chandlers Ford, a few of us would get creative in the quiet times making dragons and whimsical creatures, it started a love of just playing clay. It didn't develop into anything serious until late 2016 when I left that job to pursue my own thing and spend more time with my first grandson who had just arrived.

All my products are made using the ‘slow made’ method; by hand and nothing is mass produced.
Each collection is made in small batches so not one collection is exactly the same as another, even if the same set is made again.
I use nature to inspire my creations, and this can be reflected with simple and elegant designs or more creative and fun designs.
After all, nature is all of the above isn’t it…

When you shop with me, I can guarantee that each product is lovingly made, carefully packed and packaged in the most eco-friendly way possible.
I use no plastic in my packaging and even the tea-lights that come with my tea-light holders are vegan and biodegradable.

P.S. If you're wondering why the blue swirl in my hair, well, this is because I keep trying to decide whether to add a bit of my favourite colour into my hair.  This is the next best thing :D
